The PA10th Congressional District

Pennsylvania's 10th congressional district is currently located in the south-central region of the state. It encompasses all of Dauphin County as well as parts of Cumberland County and York County. The district includes the cities of Harrisburg and York.

Because Harrisburg, Pennsylvania's capital city, is in the heart of our district, the area we represent is often called the Capital Region. The city of York has the distinction of being the site of the Continental Congress from September 1777 to June 1778, and the birthplace of the Articles of Confederation.

Alternately, our area is called the Susquehanna Valley, because bisecting the district along the Cumberland and Dauphin county line is the Susquehanna River, one of the oldest existing rivers in the world, being dated as 320–340 million years old, with its source in New York State and its mouth at the Chesapeake Bay.

Hershey, the home of Hershey Chocolate and the renowned Penn State Hershey Medical Center are located within the district.

The population in 2023 of the PA10th Congressional District was 781,825.
